Avalanche, better known to those who adore her antics as "NoNoBadDog" or "Avi" for short, has taken us all by storm. She came into this world on her own terms, being born on my living room sofa and has made her presence known every second since that very first breath!
Avi had quite the time embarrassing her Mom, Jennifer DeLaurent of Nederland, CO in the puppy classes. From what I understand, she always attracted quite a crowd with her shenanigans! She had a unique way of making a fool out of her adoring owner-handler each and every time they stepped into the ring. At that time, we didn't think it was so comical but looking back, it was just Avi being Avi!
Avalanche started her show career off nicely as well. At the 2010 GRCA National Specialty in Greeley, CO she made it down to the final cut in 6-9 puppy bitch sweepstakes (what we call the “unofficial 5th place”) out of 31 entrants and in the regular class she was honored with a 4th placement under respected breeder judge Pluis Davern. This was a very competitive class of 35 puppies and she was handled to this placement by her owner, Jennifer DeLaurent. That pretty much set the bar for the rest of her show career.
From there, Avi was awarded multiple Best Puppy awards, a 5 point major at 17 months old a few weeks before the 2011 GRCA National Specialty, WB/BOW at the 2011 National Specialty (at 18 months) and then won 3 days out of 4 in Rapid City, SD to finish her American Championship, all before 19 months of age.

And a heartfelt THANK YOU to Jane Myers for showing her in Open Bitch and Winners Bitch at the 2011 GRCA National and kicking butt! You made our dreams come true!!!
